why Rume was Created
The idea for RUME came from seeing the same problem play out again and again. Brands wanted authentic content and real partnerships, but often didn’t know where to start or how to find the right fit. At the same time, creators were doing the work of pitching, negotiating and managing opportunities across multiple platforms, often without clarity, consistency or control.
We saw a gap for something better — a platform that made collaboration easier, faster and more aligned from the outset. Not just for major brands or top-tier influencers, but for businesses and creators of all sizes.
RUME was built to get everyone in the same room — or more accurately, in the same RUME. A place where opportunities can be discovered in real time, where both brands and creators have a voice, and where partnerships can happen more naturally, without the usual friction.

Who is the Founder?
RUME was founded by Kaitie Mulherin, a PR and communications strategist who has worked with both local Australian and global brands across influencer marketing, brand partnerships and campaign strategy. Through that work, Kaitie saw firsthand how time-consuming and fragmented influencer marketing had become. Despite how much the industry has evolved, there was still no single platform that worked seamlessly for both brands and creators.Brands were spending too much time sourcing, briefing and managing collaborations, while creators were navigating inconsistent opportunities, unclear expectations, and a lack of control.
RUME was built to change that. A true one-stop platform where brands can create a brief and instantly connect with creators who are actively looking and ready to collaborate — creating a process where both sides are equally invested from the start.
